I’ve been adding the fighter’s second wind to other games, so why can DnD have stamina points? How about an item that kind of makes them happen?
Lesser Health (Rare): When healed magically and you reach your maximum hit points, the additional healed hit points spill over into temporary hit points. You can gain a number of temporary hit points up to 1/4 your maximum hit points while this dull shiny sphere orbits your head. These temporary hit points are lost when you take a long rest.
Health (Very Rare): As per the ioun stone of lesser health, but you can have a number of temporary hit points equal to 1/2 your maximum hit points while this bright sphere orbits your head.
Greater Health(Legendary): As per the ioun stone of lesser health, but you can have a number of temporary hit points equal to your maximum hit points while this miniature star orbits your head.
You take a quick breather, and you are back in the fight!
Prerequisites: Diehard, character level 5th.
Benefit: Once per day as a swift action, You can spend 1 RP to roll a number of dice d8s equal to your hit dice and immediately regain that many stamina points.
Thoughts? I debate among myself if this should cost 1 or 2 RP.
Had a long discussion regarding my last idea, and it gave me more ideas.
Dual Care Feat 7
General Skill
Prerequisites master in Medicine
You are astute at patching people up and providing other services at the same time. When you take the Treat Wounds action, you can also take either the Treat Disease or Treat Poison action as well, applying your one Medicine check to both actions. The time to do both actions is equal to your time to do your Treat Wounds action alone.
Basics– ONCE MORE INTO THE BREACH! Continuing the Oracle of War storyline (or maybe starting it), the players are asked to go on a rescue mission into the Mournlands. Will they find the missing salvage crew, survive the warforged separatists, and understand what’s up with the crazy talking box?
Mechanics or Crunch– This adventure is a bit higher level for the players. It’s written for tier one, but one wrong step or even a few bad rolls can tank this quickly. The adventure forces stealth, which for a party of pure beatsticks isn’t as much fun as they hope. Overall, it’s doable and not too far outside of expectations, but I think toning down the challenge as written would help with this. 4.5/5
Theme or Fluff-This is a really fun adventure setting the tone for the Oracle of War story as the players finally get into the main event. It’s actually a dungeon crawl. Which is always nice to see, but it’s set in a town. So why don’t they go around? That’s the one part that kind of puts a damper on the situation. Otherwise, it’s a good intro to the meat, story, and setting of this campaign. 4.75/5
Execution– PDF? Yep! Hyperlinked? no… I really like what’s in this with two versions of the adventure for the pretty version and the simple printer version as well as the newspaper that you can hand out. I still like hyperlinks as it will help me hop around between parts of the adventure! But amazing art, font, and layout make this a dream to read. Aside from my love of hyperlinks, this is a really well done adventure. 4.8/5Summary– I love Eberron. I love playing in the Mournlands. I also love a good dungeon crawl. This is all three. The missteps are minor and if you look at your group and see a bad mix for some parts, then as a GM a few changes will help. Also, you may have to add pieces to keep your players from skipping the adventure. “Voice in the Machine” is a solid start to the real campaign of Oracle of War. 93%
How about we steal something that needs to go into Pathfinder from DnD!
Second Wind 1 action Feat 1
Fighter
You take a second in battle to bandage your wounds. Make treat wounds action on yourself. On a critical success, you removed the wounded condition if you have it. You may do this once per day.
Running Numenera at the store and noticed the one jack was abosoultely in trouble against the heaviily armored foe. Let’s help with that.
1st tier Jack Trick
Notice Fault (1 Intelligence point): This is a nimble strike aiming for a foes weak point. You make an attack and reduce the foes armor by 2 if you use a light weapon. Action.
