Ok, one more quick Shadowrun idea for today.
Not everyone on the net is a L337 hacker, but you’e lucky. A character can spend a point of Edge to remove up to 4 points worth of penalties from a Hack on the Fly or Brute Force hacking attempt.
Been a bit since I wrote about Shadowrun. Let’s fix that!
Interrupt Action (-5 initiative score, 1 Edge)
Sometimes, when you gotta go, you gotta go. And sometimes, you want that to be before GOD tells you you gotta go! Taking this interrupt action immediately causes you to perform the Jack Out (P.240 SR5) action. You suffer dump shock as normal if you are link-locked.
How about being able to shoot better because the eye and the gun target together?
Targeting Reticule: You have improved the link between your guns, eyes, and your hands. When you are running a Smartlink in wireless mode with a vision enhancement, you can activate this software to use improved data and telemetry to better target with the weapon. Increase your dice pool and accuracy of the weapon when shooting with this active. This item is primarily software, but the software does take processing power and capacity from any eyeware it is running in.
If you can split the pot, how about taking a penalty for doing it!
Bonus Karma: 5 or 10 karma
Some people can talk, walk, and chew bubble gum at the same time. You… not so much. When you have to split a dice pool for an action, you take a -1 (5 karma) or -2(10 karma) penalty to each separate dice pool when you assemble the pool. This penalty stacks with all other penalties you have for the roll.
When you shoot two target or punch two guys, you have to split it as equally as you can. Let’s work on that…

Sometimes balance is for suckers! When you do an action that requires you to split your dice pool, you may elect to move up to half of the dice from any pool(s) and move them to other dice pool(s) of your choice. You must leave at least one die in each pool.

Sometimes time is not on your side. Some times you want that hot potato to bake a little more quickly. When you throw a grenade with a wireless link, but you are not linked to it, you can reduce your initiative score by five to activate the grenade. This will not reduce scatter. The grenade may be dodged as normal.
Ok, I lied. One more Shadowrun idea! How about a positive quality for those who like to do things the hard way.
Cost: 10 or 20 karma
There is always two ways to fix a problem: the easy way and YOUR way. You might be a smart man, but you don’t show it. You might be a strong headed lady who likes to run through obstacles because its the most painful way to get it done. Either way, you like to do things rough. For 10 karma, when you assemble your dice pool and you take at least a -4 to the pool, you gain a +1 bonus to the dice pool. For 20 karma, you get the previous and when you assemble your dice pool and take a -10 to the dice pool, you gain a +2 dice to the dice pool. These bonus dice are added regardless of the test type.
