Daily Punch 11-30-17 Song of Triumph spell for DnD 5e

I’m working a few different 5e level 7 spells, so here is an idea for the bard.

Song of Triumph

7th-level enchantment

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Self
Components: V
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute

You begin a song that fills your allies with all the hope you can muster.  All allies you choose within 60 feet of you are affected by the song.  Every ally is allowed an immediate saving throw to end any fear, compulsion, charm, or any effect that affects the mind, even if the effect that not normally allow an additional saving throw.  At the start of each of the ally’s turns, it may make another saving throw to end the effect as well.  In addition, while you maintain the song, you may not give allies your bardic inspiration, however every ally gains an immediate use of your bardic inspiration that does not count against your daily limit.  This free bardic inspiration must be used before you end concentration on the spell or it is lost.  Finally, while you concentrate on this spell, every ally affected by this spell heals 1d8 hit points at the start of their turn while this spell is in effect.

I need a few level 7 spells, so let’s make a few!  Here is one for a cleric.

 

Command from on High

7th-level enchantment

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Self
Components: V
Duration: Instantaneous

You open your mouth, but instead of your voice, the raw power of your god pours forth causing all creatures within 30 feet of you to heed you words as orders from the gods themselves.  Each creature that can hear you within range is effected  based on its current hit points:

  • 50 hit points or fewer: if a creature fails a Wisdom saving throw, it is charmed for one minute, until it succeeds at a Wisdom saving throw at the end of its turn, or until it takes damage
  • 30 hit points or fewer: if a creature fails a Wisdom saving throw, it is charmed for one minute or until it takes damage
  • 10 hit points or fewer: The creature follows your commands as if affected by dominate monster for one minute.

Daily Punch 11-27-17 Strength of the Mountain feat for DnD 5e

Reading the latest DnD book, I see racial feats are back.  Let’s make a few.  Here’s one for dwarves.

 

Strength of the Mountain

You are the mountain.  You do not move unless you say to, and you break any who come at you.

Prerequisite(s): Dwarf

Gain the following benefits:

  • Your Strength score increase by 1 to a maximum of 20.
  • You have advantage on any save or check to stay standing or to keep your balance.
  • You gain advantage on checks and save to escape a grapple
  • Foes have disadvantage on any save or check against any melee effect or ability you perform that would knock them prone.

Daily Punch 10-31-17 Deep Stab Fighter Maneuver for DnD 5e

How about another idea that come up over the weekend.  LET’S STAB PEOPLE!

 

Deep Stab. As an action you can expend one superiority die to deeply stab your weapon into the target of a melee attack.  If the attack is successful, you drive the weapon deep into the target.  You are considered .  As an action the target or a friendly target can attempt a Strength check (DC equal to your save DC) to remove the weapon.  At the end of each round that a target has a weapon stuck inside of it, the target takes damage equal to your superiority die.  The target is considered to have armor of the same material as your weapon for all effects a spells.

Daily Punch 9-5-17 Conjure Sand spell for DnD 5e

Fighters can throw sand, so why not casters in 5e DnD?

 

Throw Sand

1st-level conjuration

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 15 cone
Components: V, S, M (a pinch of sand)
Duration: 1 round

By grinding the sand between your fingers and blowing the sand, you throw a pile of sand at hurricane force winds .  All targets in a 15 foot cone must make a Constitution saving throw.  On a failed save, that target is blinded until the end of your next turn.  The caster gains the ability to disengage as a bonus action.

Daily Punch 9-4-17 Dirt in ur eye! fighter maneuver for DnD 5e

oh, it’s time to make the doughnuts!  let’s get back from the vacation with a few posts today!  Here is a new maneuver for a fighter!

 

Dirt in ur eye!. As an action you can expend one superiority die to throw dirt into their eye.  The target must make a Constitution saving throw.  On a failed save, the target is blinded until the end of your next round.

Daily Punch 8-31-17 Martial Monk feat for DnD 5e

Let’s cross polinate the monk and the fighter in DnD 5e.

Martial Monk

You have trained in the ways of flow, but you have also trained in the ways of force. Gain the following:

  • Increase you Dexterity by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • Choose three maneuvers from the Battle Master Fighter list. You can use these by spending a ki point. The DC of any saves is equal to your KI save DC, and your superiority die is equal to your martial arts die value.

Daily Punch 8-30-17 Fatal Superiority feat for DnD 5e

Let’s leave the warlock for a second and move on to the fighter. It’s nitch, but this is something that the battle master might want.

Fatal Superiority

You are a master of combat who is fueled by death. Gain the following:

  • Increase your Dexterity or Strength by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • Add 1 to your superiority dice.
  • When you kill an enemy, regain one superiority dice instantly. There is no limit to the number of superiority dice you can gain this way, up to your maximum number.
