Daily Punch 10-9-12

Its pathfinder time!

Political Maneuvering By using honeyed words, you convince your target that what is best for him is not what he needs right now Verbal, standard action, Wiz 4, Sor 4, Clr 4, Brd 3: You may make a bluff check against one creature with an intelligence of at least 3 as part of this spell.  Compare your result to the table on page 94 of the core rule book to determine the bluff DC for the check. If you succeed change the creature attitude to you by one step.  For every five by which you beat this necessary score, you may change the creatures attitude by one more step.  You are not bound to only change the attitude by a max of two steps.  You take any penalty if you and the creature do not share a language.

Watching the news makes me think of things like this.  Great bard spell!  More useful then a fireball

  1. Aside from the obvious more than 2 steps, what does this give a bard who already is given diplomacy and bluff as perform skills through normal levelling? I mean, yes there’s less of a chance of failing but failure at a perform check of that level means that you’re a fail bard.

    1. In combat, its bluff as a standard action. Depending on the DM that takes minutes not seconds. Its a quick way to take one person out of the fight and maybe make them attack their own party
