Daily Punch 4-8-14 Shou Traveling Cook Background for DnD Next

I just went to a Hibachi restaurant with my wife, and it inspired me to come up with a background for a DnD Next character.

Shou Traveling Cook

You are a cook, but not just any cook.  You have learned an art the combines performance, grace, cutlery, and cooking.  You move your blades in quick arcs and make food dance on your grill.  You have traveled the world showing off your art and it has funded your adventures.

Trait- Performance for Pay

When you stop in any notable location with people or sentient creatures that are at least indifferent to you, you may attempt to make a living in this location.  Make a performance check with disadvantage.  You gain as many copper pieces as your performance check.  Your DM has discretion regarding your ability to repeat this performance, and different patrons may pay different amounts for your skills.

Daily Punch 4-7-14 Computer Speed Quality for Shadowrun 5e

Had an interesting event happen in my latest Shadowrun Game.  Had a player mark an gun, but he wouldn’t be able to stop the gunman in time, so he ejected the clip.  To issue commands to other things like cybereyes requires a much longer period of time.  Maybe its time for a quality to step in…

Computer Speed

Cost: 10 Karma

In the matrix, you move so fast its freaky.  When you mark something, it just does what you want right away!  When you mark on icon or device on the matrix, you can perform another matrix action.  If you perform a simple action, it reduces your initiative by seven.  If you perform a complex action, it reduces your initiative by 15.

Daily Punch 4/4/14 Challenging Monster template for Pathfinder

I ran a game of pathfinder on Friday night.  It was a blast, but I had a player who dominated the last boss fight because of some lucky crits.  How about a fix for that?  How about another template?  I don’t want to just add more abilities to a monster, but I want to keep the monster in the fight for a bit longer.

Challenging Monsters are creatures that are far more powerful then their standard brother.  These could be leaders of men or monsters.
