More politics in my pathfinder…

Monday Combo 10-15-12

Something I saw over the weekend, its time for fun with cleave

Charging Cleave Requires cleave if you charge, you may use cleave if you killed an enemy at the end of your charge

Repeat Charge Requires Charging Cleave If you kill an enemy at the end of your charge, you may charge again at a different enemy taking all bonus and penalties associated with a charge and provoking attacks of opportunity.  You may only do this one time per turn.

Multi-Cleave requires Charging Cleave   When you make multiple attacks as a full round action because of your attack bonus, you may cleave one time per attack granted. This additional attack granted by Multi-Cleave uses the current base attack bonus of the attack that killed an enemy, not your highest attack bonus.

Its pathfinder time!

Political Maneuvering By using honeyed words, you convince your target that what is best for him is not what he needs right now Verbal, standard action, Wiz 4, Sor 4, Clr 4, Brd 3: You may make a bluff check against one creature with an intelligence of at least 3 as part of this spell.  Compare your result to the table on page 94 of the core rule book to determine the bluff DC for the check. If you succeed change the creature attitude to you by one step.  For every five by which you beat this necessary score, you may change the creatures attitude by one more step.  You are not bound to only change the attitude by a max of two steps.  You take any penalty if you and the creature do not share a language.

Watching the news makes me think of things like this.  Great bard spell!  More useful then a fireball

More Pathfinder love this time for items-

User Curse:+1 bonus (minor necromancy), when created, choose a character; that character is the only character who can use this item at is full bonus due to magic.  Any other character who attempts to use this item is affected as if by a cursed item (choose an equivalent cursed item).  To detect this property, raise the DC to detect via Spellcraft by +10.  If the Spellcraft fails, the item’s powers are detected as additional minor evocation instead of necromancy.

It’s time for a  double feature!  DnD 4e and Pathfinder together!

Pathfinder First

Hostile Negotiations:Feat-You may use an intimidate check in place of a diplomacy check.  Your DM may judge that you can not repeatedly use this feat several times in one conversation.  If you fail a diplomacy check with an intimidate check, the result is as if you had failed an intimidate check.

Now time for DnD 4e

Hostile Negotiations

Skill Power (Intimidate) -Level 2

Encounter

Effect:You may substitute an intimidate check for a diplomacy check.  If you fail the check, the results are as if you failed an intimidate check.

Monday Combo 9-24-12

I’ve been watching some players and I think its time for some Pathfinder Feats

Agile Charge; Feat, Combat:  you may charge over difficult terrain as long as you have the movement for the charge.

Broken Charge; Feat, Combat; requires Agile Charge and +4BAB:  You may charge at a distance equal to your move after a normal move as a standard action.  You take the normal penalties to this charge.

Quick Charge; Feat; Combat; requires Broken Charge and +8 BAB:  You may charge at a distance of only 5 ft from an enemy.  You only receive a +1 to the attack but still take the normal penalty to defense.

Broken or should have been built into the system?  Thoughts?

9-4-12 Pathfinder Feat Idea

Here’s today’s idea, it comes from watching Pathfinder play out with a half-orc monk.

He’s a biter!-(Combat)-requires a natural weapon attack such as a bite attack-For the purposes of your natural weapon attack, your natural weapon now counts as a monk weapon and feats applied to your monk attacks now count for your natural attack.  In addition, when you use your flurry of blows attack, gain an additional attack at your lowest attack bonus.

As I’m running my Pathfinder group, I’m watching Toof the monk have to choose to feats for her fists such as weapon finesse or feats for her bite attack.  Since there are so many options out there, shouldn’t there be a feat to unite the Monk and characters with natural attacks?  Thoughts?

Monday DUMP 8-27-12

Might be later in the day, but this one is an extra special treat!  Every Monday I’ll try to make a bit longer post for you guys.  This one goes out to all my MONKS who want to disarm better then they do now:

Feat: Magpie style (Combat, style)-prerec: Improved Disarm- gain a +2 bonus on disarm attempts.  Stacks with Improved Disarm.  Ignore weapon size categories when disarming opponents.

Feat: Magpie Flight (Combat, style)-prerec: Magpie Style, Throw Anything -If you successfully disarm an opponent, gain an attack at your highest BAB this turn where you throw the disarmed weapon at an opponent in 30 feet.  This new attack counts as an unarmed attack and deals your current unarmed damage on a hit.  This attack does not provoke an attack of opportunity.

Feat: Magpie’s Strike (Combat, style)-prerec: Magpie Strike, Improvised Weapon Mastery-If you successfully disarm an opponent, gain an attack at your highest BAB this turn.  This attack counts as an unarmed attack and deals damage one dice step higher then your unarmed attack damage.  If you hit with the attack gained by this feat, the disarmed weapon gains the broken trait.  Ignore the damage limit on Improvised Weapon Mastery.  This attack occurs before the attack granted by Magpie’s Strike.

Why these style feats?  I love watching old school Kung-Fu movies, and in every one a master single handed takes down a squad of goons with there own weapons.  I did not include a BAB requirement as to get all the style feats you will have to take several feats.  What do you guys, the readers and my judges, think?
