Daily Punch 2-8-21 Heroic Speed feat for DnD 5e

Had a blast at Winter Fantasy this weekend. Had a fighter full of hero points surrounded by enemies who walked away. Let’s fix this problem!

Heroic Speed

You use your moment to do what needs to be done. You can spend a hero point to gain an additional reaction or bonus action. You may not spend a hero point on any rolls associated with that reaction or bonus action.

Daily Punch 2-3-21 Repeating Blast eldritch invocation for DnD 5e

Thinking about being able to keep hitting that same person over and over. Let’s help a warlock!

Repeating Blast

Prerequisite: eldritch blast cantrip

When you hit a creature with eldritch blast, the next use of eldritch blast against the same target gains a +1 bonus to the attack. This bonus keeps continuing until the bonus to hit equals 1/2 your proficiency bonus.

Daily Punch 12-15-20 Homing Bolt eldritch invocation for DnD 5e

Playing Hollow Knight lately, and the bugs I hate the most are the ones with bolts that home in on me. Let’s make that happen!

Homing Bolt

Prerequisite(s): eldritch bolt cantrip

When you miss an attack with eldritch bold, you can use your reaction to reroll the attack taking the second result.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Daily Punch 12-14-20 Building Strike feat for DnD 5e

Ok, one more version of this feat for DnD this time!

Building Strike

You spend extra time charging up your strike. Gain the following benefits:

  • Increase your Dexterity or Strength by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • You gain a bonus action that you can use before an attack. If you spend a bonus action before your attack, increase the damage the next strike deals equal to your Strength or Dexterity modifier to the next attack you make this turn.

Daily Punch 11-30-20 Belt of Shocking Grasp for DnD 5e

Playing way too many video games lately, but saw a fun spell that I think a character might want as a belt.

Belt of Shocking Grasp

Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement)

This simple dark leather belt is inlayed with tracery of silver. While wearing this belt, if you are grabbed or swallowed by a creature, that creature must immediately make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the creature take 3d8 lightning damage and must end the grab. On a success, the creature takes half damage and does not need to end the grab. If the creature is unable to release you in the case you were swallowed whole, then the creature must make a save at the beginning of each of its turns until it saves ending the damage each turn.

Daily Punch 11-9-20 Disfigure spell for DnD 5e

I’ve been thinking of some spells I’ve seen in movies where the villain curses the hero, and the hero is disfigured. Can we do something like that?

Disfigure

5th-level necromancy

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: 30 days

You throw raw hate at a target in range. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. If the target fails, you inflect a horrible curse upon the target bending its physical form to break spirit and spine. The target has a -2 penalty to saves and checks with one ability, a -10 feet penalty to its speed, or a -1 penalty to all attacks for the duration of the spell. A target can be affected by multiple castings of this spell, but each casting must cause a different effect.

A wish spell is the only spell can can end this effect early, you may end this spell with a thought at any time, or your death ends the curse as well.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 7th or 8th level, the duration is 1 year. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 9th level, the spell lasts until it is ended by a wish spell.

Daily Punch 11-2-20 Wracking Cough spell for 5e DnD 5e

I hurt my upper respitory a few years ago, so when the seasons change, I start barking. Normally it draws looks, but for some reason, this year I get a bit more stares…

How about a spell for that?

Wracking Cough

2nd-level necromancy

Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 50 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: concentration, up to one minute

You point at a creature in range and whisper vile words at it. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. If it fails, it becomes infected with a fast acting disease as it begins to cough uncontrollable tearing its lungs apart from the inside dealing 2d6 necrotic damage. Each round at the start of the creatures turn, it must make another Constitution saving throw. If it succeeds the effect end, but if it fails it continues to cough taking 2d6 necrotic damage. Then all creatures that are engaged with the target must also make a Constitution saving throw. Upon a failure, the creature is affected by the spell taking damage as above. If a creature saves against this spell once, it is immune from this one casting of the spell, but can be affected again by a different casting of this spell. Immunity to magical diseases prevents a target from being affected. The cycle of infection continues until all creatures save against the spell or you are no longer concentrating on the spell.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.
