Daily Punch 11-22-19 Elemental Savant metamagic for DnD 5e

This come hot on the heels of the last spell.  Lot’s of these spells specify one type of element, but why would a sorcerer play by those rules?


Elemental Savant

When you cast a spell that has an elemental damage type of acid, cold, fire, or lightning, you can spend 2 sorcery points to change the damage to another elemental damage type of acid, cold, fire, or lightning.  All other parts of the spell remain the same, but continual damage is changed to the new damage type if you so choose.

Here’s a metamagic I’ve been kicking around for a bit.

Enduring Spell

When you cast a spell, you can spend a number of sorcery points equal to the spell’s level to have that spell repeat itself on one target affected by the spell at the start of the target’s next turn. (1 sorcery point if the spell is a cantrip). The target is allowed all saved and checks to avoid the spell as the spell allows.

1st-the feat!

Punish the Weak

You capitalize on hurting those who are already reeling.  Gain the following:

  • Increase one ability score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • When you use an ability or spell that requires a saving throw and you would have advantage if you used a melee or ranged attack on the target, the target has disadvantage on the saving throw.



Second, the megamagic-a modified version of the heightened spell

Hunting Spell

When you cast a spell that forces a creature to make a saving throw to resist its effects and you would have advantage on attacking the target with a melee or ranged weapon, you can spend 1 sorcery points to give one target of the spell disadvantage on its first saving throw made against the spell.



Daily Punch 9-4-15 On Target metamagic feat for Pathfinder

I was reading a Pathfinder Tales novel, and one character summoned creatures on another.  I’d like to make that happen in my games.

On Target(Metamagic)

When you create life or unlife, you can cast it on a a target.

Benefit: When you cast a conjuration or necromancy spell that creates or animates any number of creatures under the effect of this metamagic, you can make a ranged touch attack an a target in range for each creature created at a target within the range of the spell.  If you hit the target with this attack, the creature is created on the target either grappling it or doing melee attack damage on the target as if it hit.  The target may also make any attacks it would normally get its on its turn.

Level Increase: +1 (an On the Target spell uses up a spell slot one level higher than the spell’s actual level.)
