Rare magic weapon (staff)

This staff is made from a spine of a single creature.  The end of the spine is topped with a human skull.  It has been cleaned and bleached white.  No visible factors hold the spine together except for sheer power.  Increase the DC of all your spells cast by 2.  Also, three times per day when you cast a necromancy spell, impose disadvantage on the saving throw for that spell or gain advantage on any check needed for that spell.

Daily Punch 4-18-14 Elbow Bash Feat for DnD Next

I’ve watch  a lot of two handed warriors do a lot of damage when it come to DnD Next, but I think the one weapon fighters need a bit of love too…. How about a feat

 

Secondary Bash

Benefit:  Gain the following:

  • Gain a +1 to strength to a maximum of 20
  • Gain a second attack as if using two weapons.  This attack is made with either a second part of the weapon or a shield.  The attack does 1d4 + STR damage if using a two handed weapon or 1d6 + str damage if using a weapon and a shield and you are considered proficient with the weapon for the attack.  Add your primary weapons enhancement to the weapon damage.  Do not add any additional weapon qualities to the attack or damage.

Spider Silk Gauntlets

Uncommon wondrous item

This pair of black gauntlets are made from black leather and spider silk.  They bear the holy symbol of Loth and are exceptionally light.  Any devout worshiper of Loth who sees these on a non-drow will attempt to kill the wearer.

Property:While you wear these gauntlets, you can cast the spider string spell at will.  The save DCs of the spell is 14.  In addition, you may grasp spider webs without disturbing them or signalling any spider who may live on the web.  Finally, you have advantage on any saving throw against any spell that uses sticky components to ensnare you such as web.

Daily Punch 5-16-14 Spider String Spell for DnD Next

Was watching Spider-Man and I think this spell needs to happen.  Let’s get some supes in DnD Next

 

Spider String
2nd-­level conjuration
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 or 100 feet
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 hour per character level
While you are concentrating, with a flick of your wrist you can conjure a one inch think cable of of thick, sticky webbing.  The webbing does not stick to you or any other creature you want it to not stick to. The webbing may be up to 100 feet long but may only target creatures with in 60 feet.  You may climb the webbing as if climbing a knotted rope if you choose.  When you cancel the spell, all spider strings you have used vanish.
You may target a single creature with the spider string spell and you may target various portions of the creature. A creature targeted by your Spider String Spell must make a dexterity saving throw.  If the creature fails you may impose different conditions to the creature such as blinded if targeting eyes or sensory organs, restrained if targeting limbs, deafened if targeting ears or similar.  You may also target objects to grab them or seal them in place with the spider string.
On a failed save,the creature is restrained as long as it remains in the spider string or until it breaks free.  You may spend additional turns adding more spider string to a target to add more conditions or to increase the save DC by 1 to a maximum of +10 on the initial save DC.  Other creatures can assist a creature with a saving throw as an action giving the creating affected by spider string advantage on the saving throw.
A creature restrained by the webs can use its action to make a Strength check against your spell save DC. If it succeeds, it is no longer restrained.
Spider strings are flammable. Any 5-­‐foot-­‐area of spider string exposed to fire burns  away at the start of your next turn.The fire spreads 5 feet at the end of each turn until the spider string burns away. Any creature that starts its turn in an area of burning spider string takes 2d4 fire damage.

Ricochet Shield

You can bounce your shield of the environment and have it return to you in the same attack.  Your shield has a range of 50/100.

 

Improved Defense

While you hold your shield, your bonus to your defense is +3 and you gain a +1 to dexterity saving throws.

How about a spell for DnD Next?  How about a nice cantrip…

 

Self Doubt
Enchantment cantrip (mind effecting)
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 Ft.
Duration: 1 round
Target creature makes a charisma saving throw.  If it fails, it is racked with doubt.  On its next turn all attacks and skill checks are made with disadvantage.  If cast as a first level spell the target takes an additional -1 to the rolls.  For every level cast above first, increase the penalty to the rolls by one.
