Daily Punch 3-30-15 Personal Problems positive quality for Shadowrun 5e

I have a few ideas for my character, and I want to take more then the 25 karma worth of problems.  Sure I can roleplay it, but let’s make it official and give me some starting karma for it!

Personal Problems

Cost: 5 karma

You’re pretty beat to heck.  For everything you got going for you, you’ve got two  that make it worse!  You can take up to an extra 25 karma worth of negative qualities, and instantly gain that much karma.

Daily Punch 3-27-15 Astral Burnout negative quality for Shadowrun 5e

I have a character that I want to be burned by magic so bad, he’s not magical.  Let’s make that happen in Shadowrun 5e.

Astral Burnout

Bonus: 20 karma

Magic is fickle.  Sometimes people do something to make it more so.  Some get amazing powers, while some get this.  You now count as dual natured for magic.  You gain none of the magical benefits to being dual natured, but all the negative effects of dual natured creatures now apply. You do not gain the ability to enter the astral plain fully or the ability to persevere astrally from this quality, but other effects may still give you those abilities.

Daily Punch 3-24-15 Speed of Thought positive Quality for Shadowrun 5e

You can get lighting reflexes and stay mundane and not cybered.  Let’s build on that!

Speed of Thought

Cost: 30 Karma

Prerequisite: Lightning Reflexes

You’re faster than fast.  You’ve either trained for it, or you were born with it.  Gain +1 to initiative rating and a bonus dice.  This stacks with lightning reflexes and nothing else.  Also, increase the bonus on defense tests by +1.

Daily Punch 3-11-15 Glass Jaw quality for Shadowrun 5e

In the rules, you never decrease your body rating for damage soak rolls in Shadowrun 5e.  Let’s play with that…

Glass Jaw

Bonus: 7, 15, or 25 karma

You might be awesome in a fight, but when you get hit, it hurts!  For seven karma, when you have three boxes of physical or stun damage, you take a minus -1 penalty to all damage soak rolls.  For 15 karma, when you have two full tracks of physical, stun, or a combination of both, you take a -2 penalty.  For 25 karma, when you have three filled tracks of physical, stun, or a combination of both, you take a -3 penalty to all damage soak rolls.

Daily Punch Specialist quality for Shadowrun 5e

I’ve been reading lots of Shadowrun lately.  Let’s see what I can come up with.

 

 

Specialist

Cost: 15 Karma

What you practice, you really practice.  Whether its shooting round after round at the same target at the range or just learning to make that pretty Troll at the bar smile on command, when you focus on something, you make sure you do it well.  When you gain a specialization in a skill, you roll three dice instead of two.
